representatives from enterprises as well as talent who have newly settled in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Continuing his visit to Shanghai with a Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government delegation, Mr Lee spoke to the enterprises and talent about their development and daily lives.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Mr Lee welcomed them to the Hong Kong family and encouraged them to make good use of the city&#8217;s business and investment platforms, in addition to its unique position and advantages in international finance, innovation and technology, and professional services, to expand their business and careers.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He stated that the Hong Kong SAR Government will continue to work diligently to attract enterprises and talent, assisting them in achieving successful development in Hong Kong while creating new impetus for the city&#8217;s growth.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Mr Lee then met CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee Secretary Chen Jining and Shanghai Mayor Gong Zheng.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Executive Deputy Director of the Hong Kong &amp; Macao Work Office of the CPC Central Committee and State Council Hong Kong &amp; Macao Affairs Office Zhou Ji also attended the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Chief Executive extended his congratulations on the successful opening of the China International Import Expo (CIIE) and expressed his hopes for a fruitful outcome.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He thanked Mr Chen for his ongoing support of Hong Kong, and expressed his appreciation for the importance the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the Shanghai Municipal Government have attached to the Hong Kong SAR delegation, as well as their thoughtful arrangements.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Thanking the central government and the Shanghai Municipal Government for their strong support of the Hong Kong SAR Government in holding the Hong Kong Investment Promotion Conference &#8211; Shanghai Forum during this year&#8217;s CIIE, Mr Lee highlighted the city&#8217;s latest advantages and business environment to Mainland enterprises.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>He also expressed gratitude to the CPC Shanghai Municipal Committee and the Shanghai Municipal Government for their emphasis on Shanghai-Hong Kong co-operation over the years.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Chief Executive noted that Shanghai and Hong Kong have maintained deep co-operation and close relations in various areas such as the economy and trade, finance, innovation and technology, education, culture and youth exchanges.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>This year marks the 10th anniversary of the Shanghai-Hong Kong Stock Connect, and the Sixth Plenary Session of the Hong Kong\/Shanghai Co-operation Conference was held in April, demonstrating that co-operation between the two places has reached new levels.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Mr Lee added that he is confident the two places will continue to achieve complementarity and mutual benefits, fostering synergistic developments in different areas and contributing to the country&#8217;s high-quality
